Softonic review

Lightweight web browser packed with smart features!

There are still gaps to be filled in the competitive web browser market, gaps that browsers like Sunrise take advantage of to stand out and attract a more demanding audience. In this case, an audience made up of web developers and restless users in search of a lightweight, fast and stable browser.

The first advantage of Sunrise is its full-screen display mode, which means it fits perfectly to the available surface. Similarly, simple buttons allow us to switch from 640x480 to 800x600 or 1024x768 with a single click. The same goes for the transparency level of the Sunrise window, a control that simply slides on a slider allows you to adjust it.

Among other options, Sunrise makes it easy to display the URL in the foreground. To copy a URL from the address bar, it is no longer necessary to select it but simply combine the shift key + Command + C. Regarding the Sunrise address bar, it also acts as a Google search bar when you type something without any protocols ("http://, ftp://, file://, https://, javascript:").

Additionally, with Sunrise you can save a web page as a PDF and save the icons that appear in the URL of certain web pages as GIF; JPG, PNG or TIFF. By viewing the source code of the web page, you can enter code and freely modify the appearance of the currently displayed page in real time. And finally, when viewing an embedded QuickTime video on a web page for example, you can view the complete URL and download it more easily.

Guess I will look for a browser that doesn't crash elsewhere..
I just installed this on my imac running OSX 10.5.8, and the first website I was on(Twitter), it crashed. Sending it to the trashbin.
